June 2008: Herndon Joins SCIP's Atlanta Chapter Steering Committee; Will Speak at November Meeting

Atlanta, GA (June 4, 2008) - The Society of Competitive Intelligence (SCIP) has named Keith Herndon as a member of the group's Atlanta chapter steering committee.

Herndon, president of Atlanta-based Internet Decisions, LLC, will assist the professional trade association with its chapter programming and membership relations.

"SCIP is dedicated to providing its members with the training and knowledge necessary to help its membership guide their companies or clients toward competitive success while maintaining the highest ethical standards," Herndon said. "It is an honor to assist our local chapter in achieving its goals."

As part of its professional development programming, Herndon will speak at the Atlanta Chapter's meeting on November 11, 2008. His topic is about effective strategies for conducting executive level intelligence, including specific advice regarding executive level interviewing as part of a competitive or a market directional research project.

Herndon's firm specializes in primary intelligence gathering for competitive intelligence and market research. It also engages strategic planning activities. Herndon is a former business writer and editor at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and held several executive posts before starting Internet Decisions. He was President of a business incubator, Vice President of Planning and Product development at Cox Interactive Media and Director of Operations at Cox Radio Interactive. Herndon was deeply involved in the Cox corporate venture activity, conducting business and technical diligence. He served on the board of directors of a Cox investment recipient and was a board adviser to other investment recipients. Innovations Publishing LLC has published two books by Herndon that are compilations of expert interviews. The first, "Raising Capital When You Don't Have a Silicon Valley Address," was released in October 2007.
