April 2012: Herndon Presents Industry Case Study at Southern States Communication Association Conference

San Antonio, TX (April 13, 2012) - Dr. Keith Herndon, President of Atlanta-based Internet Decisions, LLC, presented an industry case study as part of the annual meeting of the Southern States Communication Association (SSCA) held here.

Dr. Herndon's presentation was based on an article co-authored with Dr. Matthew Allen about the New Century Network, an ill-fated project in 1995 to create an internet platform for the newspaper industry. The research article was recognized among the top papers presented at the conference.

"I believe case studies play an important role in helping us understand how businesses and industries operate," said Dr. Herndon. "This type of research is very important in building relationships between academic research and industry needs. Executives who study the successes and failures associated with earlier business problems can often find insights and solutions that are relevant to the problems they are dealing with in their current situations."

Dr. Herndon attended the conference as part of his work as an adjunct postdoctoral fellow with the Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia.

Presenters of the top papers in the mass communication division at the SSCA 2012 conference were (l-r): Mary Grace Antony, Gyromas W. Newman, Herndon and Ashley Barrett
