April 2012: Herndon Moderates Panel on International Education Featuring Georgia's Top Public Universities

Atlanta, GA (April 18, 2012) - Dr. Keith Herndon, President of Atlanta-based Internet Decisions, LLC, moderated a panel discussion about the importance of international education featuring representatives of Georgia's four leading public universities. The event, held at the UPS corporate headquarters, was organized by the Technology Association of Georgia's International Business Society.

The panel included Dr. Kavita Pandit, Associate Provost of the Office of International Education at the University of Georgia; Dr. John McIntyre, Executive Director of the Center for International Business Education and Research at Georgia Tech; Dr. Jun Liu, Associate Provost and Chief International Officer at Office of International Initiatives at Georgia State University and Dr. Charles "Buddy" Mayo, Director of the Integrated Global Communication Master's Program at Kennesaw State University.

The program was designed to bring together academic and business leaders to establish a dialog regarding international education in light of the increasing globalization of the nation's economy. Entitled "Educating the Next Generation of Global Leaders," the panelists discussed a myriad of topics ranging from study abroad programs to enriching campus diversity through international students. "Accompanying students from Kennesaw State University to China in 2011 was an eye opening experience for me; it underscored how valuable an international experience is for students," said Dr. Herndon. "It was important for businesses to hear how our state universities deal with this important education issue."
